Welcome to my blog. Here you can read about the day to day comings and goings of our cats and kittens. We breed happy and healthy British Shorthairs and enjoy going to cat shows with them. It is a fun and rewarding hobby.
Poor Twinkie is a bit of a fatty. Damien was just patting her and using her full name, Twinkle Toes. He said "your not really a twinkle toes, your not that kind of a twinkie. You are an American twinkie." He meant the sponge cake bar kind of twinkie!!! Poor fat Twinkie!!
Henry is a little messy from the op but his teeth are all clean and a little bit of overgrown gum was removed.
He got very scared after I left and did a bit of a runner just as they were about to put him under!!!
They got me to take him from the cage as he was hissy and growly when I picked him up. I told him mamma is here and he calmed right down and was a good boy for me. He was just very scared. They all deal with it differently. The problem is he is so big and so strong if he decides he wants to hide you can't really say no lol.
Poor Henry is in the vets today for a teeth clean. He has a lot of tatar build up and some gingivitis. The big lad was a bit frightened so I held him while he got his preop needles.
Henry is three and a bit. British shorthairs can have a tendancy to get dental disease. It is always good to get the vet to check them every year when you do vaccs. Henry had a bit of drool every now and again so that is what told me he needed a mouth check. Other signs are dropping food or reduced appetite.
So hopefully he just needs a clean and some antibiotics to get his smile back.
But Georgie is arriving at Christa and Greg's house!! She is going to be a sissy for Sassy. We are just on our way to drive to see them and drop Georgie off. It is about an hour and a half away. She has settled in for her road trip and will soon meet her new family.
